I call for the government’s and civilian’s immediate action to the most recent acts of terrorism in southern Philippines. Please don’t get me wrong. I am not insinuating that civilians must armed themselves to help fight against terrorists. I am suggesting that each responsible citizen must be vigilant and report immediately any knowledge and information about terrorists and their acts.
First, I pray for the soul of the bombing victims in Iligan City whose untimely death bring great pain to their family. Secondly, I pray for the victim’s family that they may find serenity to accept the things they can’t change. No matter what we do, we can’t bring back the life of the victims. But at least giving justice to their unexpected death will already be too much.
The terrorist strikes again! I told my friend Clarence after he sent me message about the Iligan blast.
According to the latest count, two are dead while 47 are injured.
Initial findings indicated the improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were crafted out of mortar rounds, which he described as the “signature” of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), Inquirer.net reported.
Superintendent Dimacuta Sanggacala, spokesman of the Lanao del Norte police, clarified however, that although they have not identified the perpetrators, these were “acts of terrorist groups.”
We just pray and hope that no other similar incidents will happen in any of Mindanao cities this Christmas.
