There is honor in defeat

..celebrate victory humbly and accept defeat graciously

The election fever is over. And the time to heal the wounds brought by election has come. Not many of those who expect to be elected can immediately accept defeat. Only few (of those who are defeated) will acknowledge the real result. Some even accuse that those who are elected cheated and eventually contest the result.

When Mike Defensor humbly acknowledged defeat in the recent polls, he showed humility -a mark of being a gentleman and of a good leader. Such act surprised many in the world of politics as many of his counterparts still claim to get a seat in the senate.

Indeed, there is honor in defeat. I admire those who humbly acknowledge defeat. Yes, it is not easy to admit but its worthy to be humble.

In Cebu City, Mary Ann delos Santos, did the same and even published her congratulations and support to Mayor Tomas Osmena.

This should serve as model to other politician.
